9 non-profit websites designed by Snig to build trust & engagement

January 28, 2026

For non-profit organizations, a website is a core communication tool. It is used to publish verified information, present initiatives, support fundraising, and document impact over time. Snig works with non-profit organizations in human rights, sustainability, education, culture, and social initiatives, focusing on long-term digital platforms rather than one-off campaign websites.

Below is an overview of selected non-profit projects.

MIPL — Human Rights Initiative

MIPL is a humanitarian organization focused on human rights. The team approached Snig following a referral from another non-profit organization. Their previous website was built on outdated WordPress version and was difficult to maintain, visually outdated, and limiting for editorial work.

The website was rebuilt both technically and visually. The new platform includes a modern interface, improved mobile performance, and flexible content layouts. Long-form articles were given dedicated full-width layouts designed for focused reading without sidebars. The CMS structure was simplified so the internal team could manage and publish content independently.

An additional landing page focused on hostages is currently in development as an extension of the main platform.

GOTS — Behind the Seams Campaign (3-Year Partnership)

Snig has worked with GOTS on the Behind the Seams awareness campaign for three consecutive years. The collaboration started with website design and development and expanded over time.

The first iteration focused on creating the campaign website and defining its visual structure. The second iteration refined content organization and integrated campaign pages more closely with the broader GOTS ecosystem. During the third iteration, the campaign concept, visual direction, and social sharing mechanics were developed jointly with the GOTS team.

Campaign Results

The long-term approach led to consistent year-over-year growth. In 2025, impressions and reach more than doubled compared to the previous year, while website traffic increased by over 300%. Audience growth across social channels also continued steadily.

This project was developed in collaboration with Projector Foundation, UKLON, and other partners. The goal was to create an accessible platform for educational programs for veterans.

Snig delivered brand identity, UI/UX design, and Webflow development. Accessibility was a core requirement, including readable typography, scalable font sizes, and mobile-first layouts. The CMS structure allows ongoing updates as new courses and programs are added.

Design Approach

Across all non-profit projects, the focus is on clear information structure, accessible design, flexible CMS systems, and platforms that can evolve over time as programs and initiatives grow.

Designing Effective Websites for Non-Profit Organizations

A successful non-profit website starts with a clear understanding of its audience — whether it is donors, beneficiaries, partners, or the general public. Each group comes with different expectations, levels of emotional involvement, and information needs.

Strong messaging and thoughtful visual design often perform better than communication based on pressure or appeals to pity. Clear narratives, credible data, and respectful storytelling help build trust and long-term engagement, while consistent visual systems reinforce professionalism and legitimacy.

From a practical perspective, non-profit websites need flexible content structures. Campaigns, reports, educational materials, and updates evolve constantly, so the CMS must empower internal teams rather than create dependency on developers. Accessibility, mobile performance, and readability are not optional — they are fundamental requirements for inclusive communication.

The goal is not only to “look good,” but to create a digital platform that supports the organization’s mission, grows with it, and remains reliable over time.
